:poke:Thanks to amazinblue82 and his latest survey... I went to great pains to be kinder and gentler and NOT simply use the word "moron" in my post. I also refrained from flipper, idiot, and several 4 letter variants. I hope the seller appreciates my restraint if he ever finds his way to here.

"This seller may have substantially overestimated this particular vehicle's value to a degree that is rarely seen. While it is a seller's prerogative to seek what he/she believes represents a fair market price for their merchandise, this particular vehicle's asking price can reasonably cause one to question the seller's marketing rationale."

Seriously, that's a nice car. I like it. I woulda prefered it fully original, and paid more as a result, but "as-is" its about $20K over my limit for it.

BTW, i don't consider "flipper" to be insulting. A lotta "flippers" do though.

Anyway, I don't begrudge folks from "identifying and profiting from market information assymetries" .. i.e, "flipping".

That's just a tad over $5500 US.... and I'd rather have that one than the one with the souped up engine. You just never know what you're getting with someone else's handy work.

I'd normally agree with you, especially if we were talking about a big-block C-body. But in this case, lo-po small blocks grow on trees. Might as well gamble if the price was right. If it blows up, insert a 5.9 Magnum. Value increases.

Both cars are 79's, and neither came w/4 bbl. The one with the motor work is desirable, just declown the looks lol. I've had 4 of these and still have my original 360 sunroof car from highschool. A quarter of a hundred grand is definitely a deal breaker though....

$24900 is beyond dreaming.

Consider this:

87 Chrysler Fifth Avenue (Sport Edition)

guess the pendulum swings both ways huh?

wow. if that's not a typo, this car is a gift. I'd go to the ATM and get it right now if it was within 200 miles of me (gotta be home by 6pm today :))

$500.00 -- heck, thats a $150 radio in it if it works. never heard of a "Sport edition" though.

if its not a "sleepping basket case", and that's what seller is asking, I suspect it'll sell :)

SELLER DESCRIPTION - $500.00 asking price.

Beautiful Maroon Chrysler Fifth Avenue Sports Edition. A classic car with a 5.2L V8, mean look and a plushy marshmallow leather interior. It runs great with only 54,000 original miles!!!!!

Needed repairs: Back tail light assembly(all lights work, just the case, very inexpensive to replace), brakes need to be bled. Maybe a new battery(the battery was new when I bought it, I don't drive the vehicle often, I start it up once or twice a month and drive it to the car wash and clean it. I might have toasted the battery doing that or maybe it needs to just be put on a long charge). No major issues or repairs needed!!!!!

Engine is very clean and well maintained. The interior is very cool, with plush carpet and the most comfortable marshmallow leather you've ever sat in. Great buy!!! No phone calls after 9pm please and thank you. Pictures are current, title in hand and ready to transfer to the right buyer. No holds, first come first serve.

Either a typo or a scam. Contact the seller, he'll tell you it's in the Craigslist warehouse waiting for shipment.

They have a warehouse now? Like Amazon does? Impressive! :) :)

i never shop for/sell anything on CL .. so i forget it can be "Scam Central" for the unwise/uninformed. good point. ad has a goofy, repetitive, vibe about it too (plushy marshmallow seats).

I am still bettin' on typo. Nonetheless, go see it in daylight, in a a police station parking lot, and bring a couple of the meanest lugs ya know. :).

BUT, still could just be a REALLY upstanding but "low information" seller who doesn't know what they have there.
