Yah, I know they are a Mirada with a couple nightmares to deal with, but I want one.

Stan, I think you said you've seen it before, but I can't remember.. Have you seen the one done up as a pro tour, with a big block at the local shows?? I saw it a couple years ago at that mopars at old town show. That was such a bad *** car!!

There was one I remember with a Shaker hood.
Amazingly, it looked good on the car.
And he did it flawlessly. Could have been factory.

Thats the one! He did a great job with that car. Not really my style, but I would drive the hell out of that thing.

Wasn't real crazy about the Lincoln version. You've seen the BMW version, right? Just twenty+ years later on! And not nearly as nice. Called the "Bangle Bustle" after the designer Chris Bangle.

I will add this to the lengthy list of why not to own a BMW.

I think these cars are cool....and it would fit in with my standard of having a car with at least one major flaw!!!

I cant believe you still have that Imperial. Last I saw it must have been 9 - 10 years ago

Hey Dave, been awhile since we seen each other. I actually sold the car to Mike Slivak from the Misfits. He put some money into the car and used it as a daily for about 2 years or so. Last I spoke with him, he sold it to a person in Maryland. Still on the look out for another one.....has to be the right price, condition, and color!

I'm glad to see at least one guy stepping up to the plate and buying and driving these things.

Sort of a bustle back already (with a hatch) in spring 71 at BMW, but already borrowed from another German manufacturer they bought up from 5 years earlier.

I like them!!
I took my first 67 Imperial to the premier of the "New" Imperials in Buffalo, NY back in 81. It was quite a show! They had the premier at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Buffalo's waterfront. I was good friends of the owners of a local Chrysler-Plymouth dealer back then and he gave us passes to get in. He said to make sure I brought my 67... I was pretty proud to have that 67 there! Photographers and media were all over it. I guess the stark difference between them caused quite an attraction. Was very cool!
