I always wanted one of those little trucks, but could never justify having a small truck that couldn't haul a car trailer or a two passenger DD with no room for kids. I can't ever remember seeing a diesel version, and honestly I didn't even remember the diesel being offered in those trucks.

That one must have been real nice when it was new.

My friend in the Navy had a 85 with a 2.6 gas and a 5 speed. We put a lot of runs on that thing up to Las Vegas and Pahrump NV. Surprised we never put it in a ditch, running back to San Diego at the wee hours, to get back before Monday morning muster.
