1985 Plymouth Gran Fury Salon (low miles)
odometer: 39900
title status: clean
Selling our Gran Fury that we bought 3 years ago from the estate of the original owner. The car was always meticulously kept and maintained--always garaged. According to the neighbor that we talked to at the estate liquidation, the owner was an elderly gentleman who was never married and mostly drove his 1987 Dodge pickup. He said that the car was mainly for church and only when the weather was good. When looking under this car, it's easy to confirm the the neighbor's claim that it has not been in salt. The car has 39,900 miles. It always starts, runs and drives very well. We have put around 1500 miles on it over the past few summers without any issues and it's a nice comfortable car to drive. When we got the car, not much needed to be done. Due to age, we put new (good quality) whitewall tires on the car. I'm a mechanic by trade and presumably because the owner had kept the car running and driving, the fuel system was clean and the brakes were operational. This spring when we got the car out of our building, I noticed the right caliper was sticking, so I have replaced both front calipers and braked hoses. The paint, exterior trim, padded roof, and interior upholstery are extremely nice. Never smoked in. As seen in one picture below, the car still has plastic under the front seats--"detailer's plastic", from the factory. Car has the 318 V8, and typical options of the Fury, including air conditioning. We have access to a hoist if you would like pictures of the chassis. The car has never been hot rodded and has basically had 2 drivers (both older) during all of the miles traveled. 5500.00 or best offer.
