On this day, August 12th 2005 I dragged home what I thought was a parts car for my 68 New Yorker.
Thst all changed when I hooked a battery up and got the motor running and the radio came to life.
As you all know it turned into a 12 year restoration.
At first I documented everything on the C body Dry Dock.
Back then it was the most watched and followed thread.

New forum..old face

Life can change in 20 years but the car remained a constant in my life.
Good therapy.
Most importantly it is the people I have met and still friends with to this day because of this car.
Whether someone helped working on the car directly or met in person those who followed the build.hen I did the " world tour" in the Boab.
I got to meet a lot of C body bretherens at the shows I travelled to in this car.
Some even flew to Carlisle 2018 to see the car!
Then there are those who have passed and I drive this car in thier memory.
So much to say here but try not to cram 20 years into a nutshell. Lol.
I never kept any car as long as this....ever.
Never a trailer queen-- built to be driven.
So now she sits waiting for a road I have yet to discover.
I will see YOU....down the road.
Happy 20th to the Boab!
