2014 Carlisle Pictures...

It was hot both Friday and Saturday but I know its been worse in previous years. I'd say upper 80s on Friday and low 90s on Saturday, good breeze though.
I am a Romeo when it comes to Jeannie, I can't help myself and now even more so, she handled this weekend like a trooper and even has me believing that she enjoyed herself! Than again, how could she not with the genuinely great group of guys and there families that this site has helped bring together. I'm ecstatic to have met everyone and honored to consider you all friends.
great to meet you as well, Kenny, as well as Joel, Doug, another Doug, Mark and all the guys hanging around the FCBO hospitality center. I met so many great people that its impossible to remember all the names at the moment. Can't wait for next year!

There was and we tried to distance ourselves...

Sorry you feel that way, you missed out on some of the best part. We had a blast the last two years watching that.

Niagara Falls???
I hope you and Jeanne have a great time at the Falls.

yes, enjoy it.........and if you have the chance make sure you do the Cave of the Winds, it's on the U.S. side, worth every penny.

I think Dave enjoyed an occasional burnout with the blue Polara. ;)

Yes, do that on the US side! The Canadian "cave of the winds" is no where near as good. The US side is more of a park... If you get out on the Three Sisters Islands, Mrs. Big John and I were married on the farthest island ten years ago next month. You can get right up to the edge of the falls on the American side.

Do the Maid of the Mist too (either side is the same).

The Canadian side is more commercial and more attractions, but I prefer the American side.

Yeah Bob camping in the swap meet it use to be great not the last couple of years, I might have to go the hotel route next year, will be watching your hotel thread. Stan I think you where there in spirit since you such a big part of this site, glad to have met some face to face hopefully meet more next year.

never seen the point to a burnout contest.....wear and tear on tires engine trany ect ect and all for what..a trophy mayby..all seems kinda pointless....

I have to throw my two cents in on this also. It truly is the most stupid thing an adult can do on many, many, levels. You lose my respect if you do it. Just wear a huge dick on your head and hang a sign around your neck that says Attention *****. OK, accuse me of having low T, I don't care.

Oh lighten up already....nothing wrong with a little inane fun every now and then. Gets the dust out and keeps the old pulse up and running.

No there isn't but 1/2 the fun is old men grumbling about it and the other half is the younger guys not listening to the old men. C'mon, that's how the system works and everybody's happy :D
You take what I say too seriously cuz you can't see me while I'm saying it lol.

Well ok since you put it that way. I MUST say however I can't understand the logic sometimes. Most of you "old grumbling men" (your words, not mine -- and you all know who you are) have worked up 440s, 383s, 413s blah blah whatever put between the frame rails but then never, ever, ever, ever even THINK about mashing the pedal now and then like some crazed maniac and melting rubber. I guess that right there is some Yoda like zen level restraint going on there that only comes with age I suppose.

Ok. I'm done.

sorry it's off topic but why is this not your POTA avatar?

sorry for the extra large picture size :)
