Looks like James got the ad done and listed on Ebay now:

I think he did a nice job and hope it does well.

Now that's a good description.
Which in turn got me to look at the pics closer. Tripple stripe WWs!

Yeah, the 61G was all messed up compared to the 60F. From very classy to kind of weird. Never saw the car you are referring to, but I can see why they did it!

Yup, me too Steve. I had pix of of that G up until 4 months ago when My Wife and I relocated to Wilmington, N.C. from Chelsea, Mi. I pitched about 3 apple boxes full of that type of material to lighten the load and when we got down here I got real serious making trips to the dumpster. I've decided it's way better to die under a car then a retirement community, but that revelation-decision came too damn late. Have you ever try to put a car back together doing it in a 10X20 storage unit? Pray for me, Jer...lol...FYI, That's why I fell in love with the '61 Wagon way back in the fall of '60. Mother carried over the boomerang tail lights to the '61 wagon only and I fell in love with the Grocery Getter because those tail lights matched the canted quads so well.... Even Mr Cunningham didn't know the difference in the wagon tail lights from the rest of the fleet on the '60, and I've been laughing silently about that seams like for ever.

The high bidder was a local guy and I made a deal with him, so I just ended it a couple hrs early and sold it to him for $7000

Why was the original thread about this car deleted?

I wondered about the thread being deleted myself and was told it was at the request of James, the seller of the car since he was going to list it on ebay rather than try any further to sell it here. Looks like he got a decent price for the car, pretty much what we expected. Good for him.

Congrats on the sale. Much appreciated that you gave an update. Thanks

Congratulations. I say you did well.
In all honesty, I hope the FCBO Initiation, although appearing harsh to newcomers, really is valuable education in knowing more about your car which helped you now sell it for the best money out there.
