Just a small update, I decided to let the professionals repair the damaged part. There is a top-class company in Slovakia Republic, which made all mine chromes back in 2009.
M & G Classic Chrome & Cars, s.r.o.
They ask 270 USD for the repair of the damaged part, plus an additional 200 USD to make the new chrome (this was 50 USD back in 2009
). Considering the fact I won't be able to receive a new part from the USA for less than the expected 200 USD with questionable quality (and no bites to the ad so far at all) I will eat the bullet and gets hopefully perfect part in 1-3 months. I provided them with the passenger-side trim to have a better idea about the shape and will post the result once the driver-side is fixed.
To complete the picture, there is the damaged part altogether.
My 6 year old played in the car and got the transmission lever out of P, the car started to back up only to stop with the rear driver side in a soft wire fence green hedgerow. The parking brake was engaged, but not properly working as found out later (advice, do proper pre-season inspection) :-/ the rear lens received a minor crack but already got a new OEM replacement part from Hiltop Auto Parts. But other than that, all ends up well.
