383 rebuild

Looks good. You have to ditch that single pot master cylinder, though....
Im going to ditch it. One step at a time. Not going to stay original. Im taking a wise mans advice and making it mechanically sound first then I'll make it better one piece at a time. Not going to do anything drastic.
 
Be sure to use a high zinc break in oil, prime the oil pump and do the proper cam break in also. There are plenty of threads about both. You can run the break in oil for the first few hundred miles.
 
The car is alive, its going to nickle and dime me for a bit I can see. In a month or two it will be a road worthy car. Theres an exhaust leak, needs a new set of shoes, other odds and ends, ac isnt in the car right now I'll have to get that figured out.
