what thread? someone have stands fail?

And while we are on the subject lets talk about the low quality stuff coming from china, which is everything they make. I will save the rant but if everything else is substandard then we are crazy to get under a car being supported by these. i would rather use a 50 year old tool.

I started with Pontiacs before being able to get into Mopars.
Kinda like starting with homemade wine kits and worked my way up to Dom Perignon.

I always loved the coke bottle shape of the 65-66 full size Ponchos.
The GP had its own rear window and roof styling.
Oddly enough it was shared on the Canadian-only Grand Parisenne which was the Canuck version of the US GP but with a Chevy wheelbase and powertrain.

On that GP I would check the body to frame mounts in the rear and just ahead of the rear wheels.
They do have a habit of separating or the sheetmetal around the mount tends to dissappear.
The crooked rear bumper may give a clue to that. But I am guessing.
Common on all body on frame GM's of that era--es[ecially the right rear side.

That is a sharp Grand Prix and love the 4 speed, in the description it says he did a valve job? He must of done a spray can rebuild to the engine also, because that is not the original engine paint color.

i agree . curious we are still seeing it.

several thoughts (I still would be proud to own it, so NOT dissin' the car, just noticin' stuff)

1. the car itself? .. the rust isnt shown given its in a salty road state currently. and $14K is big (but these Pontiacs are way up there now). i'd have to do paint. front and rear bumpers mis-aligned from impacts?.
2. COVID casualty? people saving money, or just happy to get outta the house and not online.
3. Auction pressure isnt strong yet. .. few days to go and people get motivated near the end of these ebay joints.

i am certain it'll sell eventually though. too hard to find/"rare" not to find a new home. great looks/appeal from a bygone era.

I'da tried for it already but its ill-timed for me (unless it got to 10K or under - it wont ).

@commando1 not so much nagging but i figured if it was pretty solid given the popularity of these that it would be gone asap. interesting but by no means a gotta have car for me.
