I need to do some more reserch. Some stuff I read says the 383 and 400 have a different angle on them. I don't know if that's all the years or just the newer ones, cause worst case I have a set on a 73 charger 400 I will slap on was just looking for the c body driver side

Part numbers are the same for both 383 and 440.

The head pipes off the manifolds will be longer for the 440.

I looked at that earlier but it doesn't even list the HP manifolds, the manifold I think I wants a 2863409

Magnum is the HP manifolds. But yeah, it doesn't list '72 or newer.

The casting numbers on the 70-71 HP left manifolds are NOT the same. The rights are the same for both 383-440 The 383 is 2951216 and the 440 is 3418351. I found that out when I ordered and was installing my TTI exhaust on my 71 Polara in my avatar. The original engine was a HP 383 and I installed a 440. I ordered the exhaust for the 383 manifolds, I knew the casting numbers were different, but I figured it would fit. Luckily TTI sent me the right headpipes for the 440 manifolds. But I wondered why the left pipe wouldn't bolt up to the 383

manifold. I did a Google search of the 440 3418351 and the picture was quite a bit different that the 383 manifold. I called Murray Park, and he had a nice one for 150.00. Problem solved. Kudos to TTI!

72 is an odd ball year, no 440 left side H.P. manifold listed.

I would think the 70-71 manifolds would fit a 72, but 73 a few things changed under the hood, so I'm not sure. Years ago I parted a 73 Newport that had a HP 440 with HP manifolds, I didn't mark them, so I'm not sure which ones they are.

My book lists the 73 C body 400/440 LH HP manifold as part # 3744821, no casting # listed.

I ordered one from a older c body. So hopefully it fits. I might have to make custom downpipe. It looks like the only differents on the newer c body manifold is the heat riser
