5 years ago today what a life changer!

Jezebelle has taken me on a journey of a lifetime. I'm not sure what the future holds for us, but the past has been unforgettable.

So I still feel like a newbie here. I am starting to figure out who the men with old hats are and was glued to this site when Irma came through Florida making sure all you guys checked in. I have seen reference to Goldie in posts, but don't believe I have ever seen any pics. Would you mind sharing some for all of us newbies to see?

"Old Men Hats" is based on # of posts... the membership elected this one for me...

As to Goldie... pictures will never be the same as seeing her in person. That car draws folks like a moth to a flame... I don't think @Zymurgy got a moments rest when he had her at Carlisle. Every time I saw him he had a line forming to ask him about her.

Wow what a great looking car! That's some classy looking iron.Is that a gold colour? It suits the car.

The color is called saddle bronze. It is like a bronze gold metallic. I really like it and it is the original color. Nothing quite like in modern cars, they are all yellow gold and this has a touch of red.

The original paint was so oxidized that I didn't even realize it was metallic until I took a buffer to it.

Goldie is easily tied for first with only a few other cars on this site as my favorite car.

Will did you get Jezebelle from a military man? Looks like a Officers base sticker on the front bumper.

No, I don't remember what that sticker was. I bought it from a fellow in NJ who had it stashed in his garage for 15 years. Before that it went through the hands of a couple flippers. Original owner was a commercial airline pilot.

Now you've done it! Mike won't be able to hold himself back now. . . MAJOR SHOWOFF ALERT!

Mike do you still even have that little British car???

I do, I drove it when I was working on the brakes on Goldie this spring actually put the battery charger on it this past weekend. It doesn't get much love anymore, but it was my first car I'll never get rid of it.

Sentimental value is immeasurable!
