Kool car that had its nomenclature removed....
If you are looking for a late fifties Plymouth that would make a good candidate for a body off restoration, this is it' Goes, stops rattles and rolls. The only rust of concern is shown of the driver side rear wheel. Very solid car. Purchased from a friend several years ago that passed away soon after. The numbers indicate it is a late California build which might allow for the aluminum bell housing. Have all the parts removed from the car and some other stuff, nomenclature, radio, front brake drums, distributor, generator, wheels, wheel covers, radiator and rear back lite moldings. The rubber is not correct. He said the trans was rebuilt, most likely there are notes in the Mopar book. Needs adjustment or another look into. 318 Poly. Push button auto, power steering no bower brakes. All the lights work except for the IP. To my knowledge there is no Bondo, perhaps where the nomenclature was. As far I can see you will not need to cut and patch any panels.
I've been playing with it over the years with no intent to restore. The color is not correct, the headliner should be the hard one, the seat trim material is not correct, although the pattern is. The defrost vents are dodge as well as the hood hinges which have a sheered bolt on the driver side.
New aluminum radiator, Mopar CD ignition, GM front disc brakes, alternator, shocks, intake manifold gasket, rebuilt carb, rebuilt starter, radio and CD player to play old rock. complete exhaust system, another muffler to replace the one damaged by a shop. American mags, 15". Three year old radial tires and some new brake lines. Planed to disc the rear this year and new seals. It's been to the dream cruse once. Would I drive across the country? Not likely, but maybe, it is not very ecomnomacal. Fun.
Here's the hard part, It has a great deal of fun value, but not use value. Don't use it much, but when I do, well, that fun value translates to $20,000. OBO Call, no e-mails if interested.
