I've been watching this for a few days now. Looks like a victim of Sandy in NJ.
Somebody may end up with a great project.

oh boy.....

i love it
i love it
i love it

will still prob go for too much, and in pa it cannot be registered until it has been inspected and signed off on by an inspection station. That should stifle the price a bit.

i wonder why it's sitting with the top down. they should still be able to put it up manually (that is, assuming that they didn't just put it down for the pics and not take any with it back up).

i'd give them $5700 for it, absolutely, if the underside looks decent. Did I mention that I love it?

look at the rust on the intake, and are the front seat unbolted and sitting in place?

Thats a damn shame. Its only an hour from me

I cut slack to no one....... why should I

I hate that "give me a break" ..........."cut me some slack"..... a, no

If will be a rust bucket if salt water was in her for any amount of time. And with it having a salvage title, the chances of it flooded with salt water are pretty high.

I would assume the car will need to be completely dissasembled, cleaned, sprayed, treated and reassembled. It does look to be 100% there so parts should not be an issue. Even the chrome looks good.
Would be a worth while project if bought for 10-12K or less. Value would be in the 40-60K range.

Here in Alabame the DMV dosen't even look at a title for cars manufactured before 1972. I gave them the NJ title for my 69 300 and she just handed it back and said we don't need this. All that is needed is a bill of sale and past regestration to transfer ownership. After that the car can be retitled anywhere. A salvage title dosen't mean anything here.

Not if its started right away. If its left to rot for a year then yes but it is easily savable now

it'll be a reconstructed or flood branded title in PA even when done, so the value IMO will be a lot less than that of a problem free car.

of course, this brings up another issue........so when we buy our old cars, they could have been through whatever and the title just 'washed', if you'll pardon the pun.

congrats will for living in a state where the DMW isn't screwing you constantly. I've ALREady missed out on a few caRS THAT DIDN'T HAVE A TITLE BECAUSE THEY ARE REQ HERE.

The 9/11 custom bike at the Statue of Liberty built by OCC was totally corroded by the salt water. The bike literally had to be completely disassembled, all steel had to be remanunfactured, aluminum parts repolished, and all leather, rubber, wiring, and exhaust had to be replaced. If it did that kind of damage to a bike I can't imagine the damage it would do in a car.

the pics were done early december. just about amonth after sandy. I wonder how quickly it will continue. Now it is close to two months later

we know the damage it can do thats why that Plymouth can be saved now, in a year it'll be much more difficult
