The guy I sold the 60 Dodge Seneca to was telling me about this Olds for sale near him. He said it runs good, but has not driven it. I see some missing interior parts & a lot of tape around rear glass. Cool car if the trunk is not rusted out. He's going to get more info

One of my favourite cars - I had a Corgi Toy 61 Dynamic 88 4 door as a very young child - I never went anywhere without it. Same colour too!!

No A/C...

Cool old sedan... somebody will love her, I hope.

He just made me a deal. I'm seriously considering it. He says it's a 3 speed auto.
Flip or for a driver? Either way, I bet anything missing is going to be C body tough to find. That radio install is unfortunate, I'm sure the dash was cut... but may have been cut before this one. That ones X frame years... I'm not even sure where to look for rust through, but careful with jacking... some of those were tricky. I've heard stories of windshields popping out. No personal experience.

Well I just kinda like it. Yea I needs some work. He told me the brakes need work. Rear glass needs a gasket. I'm sure I'll sell it if the right deal comes along. Assuming I get it in the first place. Good info on the jacking. Yea the modern stereo kills the look of the dash.

All the GM full size cars were downsized in 1961, and I thought it was a huge improvement in styling too. You could give me a 1961 Pontiac Ventura 2 door anytime, or just about any of the others as well including the Oldsmobiles. Even the Cadillac sported a unique dorsal fin that I thought was very creative and well done.

Don't like the 61s too much in general, 62s and up are better looking IMHO.

I just got off the phone with the guy. I made a very good offer sight unseen. Pending he described it accurately. Said he will let me know in a day or so. Wish me lock. For some reason this car pushes my buttons.

I hope it all turns out right for you... neat car for sure.

Well my offer was rejected. A little surprised as he admitted he had lost interest in the car. He's taken the tags & insurance off. Hasent driven it in months. Needs cash for new project. Has tape around rear window. I was all in. So all I can do is call him in a few months & see if he's still attached.

Well, well, well. He just called me & countered. We are $300 bucks apart now. I'd do it in a heart beat, but my schedule is a bit slammed. I hedged & asked him how long did I have & he said take your time. So NOW the balls in my court.

Could very well be my favorite Pontiac. I'll take mine with Bucket Seats, Tri Power and a 4 Speed please.
