WANTED 63/64 Chrysler power brake booster

need a brake booster for 64 New Yorker, im told its 63/64 only part.
its not the same as the ones on my 64 imps.
dont know if a Dodge or Plymouth fullsize car fits ?
or what other options will work ?

The Chryslers except the Imperial used a Midland single clamp booster from '62-'65 with power drum brakes except cross ram cars that used a remote fender well booster that fits '63-'64 only. If you have you old unit it will probably be cheaper to have it rebuilt rather than trying to source a replacement.

Good luck!! I had the same issue with the '62 New Yorker I owned years ago. Took me quite a while to find one; I hope you do!

www.boosterdeweyexchange.com does a really good job of rebuilding dead boosters.

looks like we got a reman one coming from ontario, hopefully its the right one......

Some of the mid-60s Imps with drums use a booster that looks like the Bendix dual-diaphragm booster of 68-70 C's with discs.
But it wears the single-pot master cylinder, and discs weren't available yet, of course.

Do you know if it's the same booster, used perhaps for better brake performance in those 5000-lb Imperials?

There was a booster that looked like that('64 Imperial Crown), but I think it has the narrower mounting system so it would not likely fit the later models. If my memory is correct that unit was used on the Crown and used interchangeably with the Ross oval Booster. Would have to dig out an old parts book to be sure.
