Not a 300, but I paid a bit over half the current bid for this a couple years ago.. DSC_0167-001.jpgDSCF5230.jpgDSC_0163-11.jpg

All nice cars gents. I'm in the market now looking for the right one and right price? Any out there you guys can recommend for reasonable money?

It's Spanish red, same as Rexus' car. Closer to the top down pictures than the winter one. I think that was caused by light and digital cameras, It was a lot darker outside than it looks in the winter picture.

Original 1965 Chrysler 300 "L" Letter car... This was the Final Year of the High Performance Lettered Muscle Cars from Chrysler.....It is a DESIRABLE 2 Door Coupe, Equipped with: Factory AM/FM Vibrosonic Stereo, A/C, Power Steering, Brakes, Windows and Door Locks. Tilt Wheel, Console w/Leather Bucket Seats and of course the Powerful 413 Cu in. 360 HP V-8 Engine and TorqueFlite 3 Speed Automatic Transmission.....
***Please Note; as seen in the pictures it is a restoration project that will start and run around the yard, but would not be considered a driver at this time***It shouldn't take much to make it a driver, however.....This is one of 2405 built which makes this a worthwhile project to restore... I have priced it cheap at $2800 and I am not interested in lowball offers....I will consider trades or part trades of interest to me, like 30's,40's, or50's
cars, Convertibles, maybe a nice contemporary car that was damaged, as I fix insurance damaged cars etc.....I would like the money, but I am open....This car came out of Arizona and has a clear Arizona title.......Talk to me, Alan 602-5160

I'm curious. . . What do you think a "reasonable" price would be for a "loaded" 65 300-L with A/C and a four speed ?

That is a serious project. It looks like there are some very hard to find parts missing like the engine turned aluminum inserts for the tail panel and fuel door. Mine was in poorer shape cosmetically, but for the most part, all the parts were there.

In what condition.
A #1 (which I know doesn't even exist) could be $40,000 at B-J.
A hacked #3, maybe 75 hundred bucks.

The only realistic thing is to find the nicest Newpie you can afford and add/change/whatever necessary.

I agree. . . I looked at a black 65-L vert with a 4-speed (no A/C) on a dealer's web site several months ago. It appeared to be a No. 3 car and was listed at $25,000, and it was gone in less than a week. Also talked to a guy in New England who had / has a 65 - L black 4-speed vert with A/C - a No.2 + car. He claimed the car to be one of two. . . Guy said he had $60K in the car and that was his price. . .

I'm sorry. . . I didn't ask this question properly. I should have asked merchantcardguy how much he thinks this car he seeks is gonna cost him. . .

Your comments reminded me of this tech article from the 300, Intl. site:

Yep. The original machining on my dash inserts were gone. Original replacements in suitable condition were unobtainable in a year and a half search so I used engine turned vinyl on my dash which, although not stock, I think looks pretty good. It's held up very, very well too.

Yet another tidbit about your car that amazes me. Incredible detail work that 98% of other owners would have neglected all together or botched.

As nice as your car is, I figured you had already fixed your dash, etc.

Mighty fine work there on your dash !
