Looking for a '65 (only) 727 tranny.
Wanted rebuilt or rebuildable core with rebuilt or rebuildable torque converter.
I live in Southern WV and travel through Detroit to visit daughter and family in Oakland county. I'm actually there now, so if one near or along the way would work out.
Also travel from Southern WV to Florida regularly, so anything along that route to keep shipping costs at bay would be helpful.
Saw an old, year old, post about one in Georgia and sent a message, but haven't had a response from him yet.
Thanks.
Rob

If you end up getting a later model, I have a 19 spline input shaft and reaction shaft support you could swap in to use your early convertor with.

Thanks, but according to the education I've gotten here, I want to get my '61 Newport off the cast iron auto tranny. I need the '65 only to both get rid of the park brake on the tranny, use a slip joint differential and still keep my push-button shifting.
So in search of the '65 I go.
Thanks for trying to help me though.

Not CA. Look up, waaaay up. I'm about 2200 miles from you and on the other side of the border.
Yeah. That's be waasaaay to far out of my ballpark to even try to put some logistics on it.
Thanks, anyway.

I have a completely rebuilt 65 tranny, cable shift with cables and shifter. Also a new 2500 stall OE torque convertor to go. I'm a couple hours from Detroit in London, Ontario.

If you find one that is out of your travel zone you might want to consider Fastenal's 3rd Party shipping. My rep tells me you can ship pretty much anything that will fit on a pallet across the country for $100 -$150. It will take it 2 - 3 weeks to get to you though.

I have one in pieces without a converter for a big block. North of Jackson. $250. 517-414-6078

Rob,
I am new to the site. I saw you ad for a 65 only cable shift transmission. Have you found one.
If not I have a 65 cable shift transmission that came out of a 65 Newport. It has been sitting for years, so it will need rebuilt.
I thought I had it sold last week, but the person has not contacted me back.
I will take $300 for the transmission. Let me know if you need pictures. I am located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Tx. area.
Please e-mail me back at randy@randybuntyncpa.com since I do not get on sites to much.
Randy
