1965 Chrysler Newport Wagon 383 motor

my circumstances have changed and I am putting this out there to see if anyone is interested in restoring this fine old classic. I just do not have the space or the time. the floors will need to be replaced and the motor is locked up. I am also willing to part out if anyone is interested in certain items

Sometimes the enthusiasm clouds your better judgment. As much as I would like to see all old cars resotred...you have to be realistic about condition. Rusty, locked up motor, and who knows what else, will cost you way more then buying a decent rust free driver.

I really hope you look into picking up another wagon. Keep your eyes on the board for post ups about great car for sale. And remember even with the added cost of a decent rust free driver, and potentially having it shipped across country, it will still be cheaper then rust repairs, paint, new motor and tranny, etc etc etc....

As for parts...does it have rear bumper steps?

Sorry No Rear bumper Steps

Maybe a running car needing a lot less restoration might be an easier way to go.

too bad, i see lots of potential as well as a certain uniqueness to the old girl...but sometimes reality has a way of throwing cold water on the party.

Here's hoping you can recoup most of your money but even if you don't you've officially earned entry into the C-body world.

If I remember correctly, I don't think he's got anything into it.
That is a bummer though, I would like to see somebody restore it.

Detmatt you are correct, I have a total of 60 bucks for used tires and a couple of cans of pb blaster. Who knows if its makes it through the winter maybe i will pull the motor and rebuild it. I would really like to see this slab run, and you never know, stranger things have happened. Whatever happens glad I found this site you guys are great and i appreciate the kind words:sSig_thanks:
