Nice huh? My gut tells me it's a bit over priced though...but if it's as solid as it looks...and as the seller states, it might be a nice find. This was for sale about 18 months ago at Dusty Old Cars (broker) in NH but was recently sold to a guy in NYS. He's now selling/flipping it. Thoughts and comments please. I like it, may consider buying and always value your opinions.

Thanks, Bob

BTW...318 poly is under the hood...seller left that out of the description...hmmm. Rear bumper looks out of adjustment...like it wasn't "pushed in" enough doesn't it?

It appears to me that the bumper was pushed in at the center, making the ends push away from the body somewhat. A good bumper plating shop should be able to take care of that. It does appear to be a nice car.

Was the Standard engine for US spec Sport Furys AFAIK.

Looks like a nice car.

Sure does look like a nice car. I was kind of excited about it...so I drove 1.5 hr yesterday to look at it. Decent paint job and a real nice (new) vinyl top, but a good amount of bondo in both lower 1/4's with some bubbling just starting, found holes inside 1/4 wheel wells down low too. Terrible bright work lots of dings and dull (milky)...rear bumper was shiny but hit in the middle (bending out each side) and the trim around the tail lights and trunk lid were dented in too...to the point of needing replacements. There was no straightening them. The rear end photos were cleverly taken from up above to avoid noticing these dented in tail light surround moldings. The front bumper was shiny but dented inward down low at center. The engine bay was nasty dirty with heavily rust covering the firewall. The interior was very tired looking. Console was shabby...wood grain all faded out, storage box had cracks/holes in top...broken through from leaning on it. He was just flipping it...claimed he was just trying to get his money back as he shouldn't have bought it because he has too much going on right now. Sick father...kids in school etc. To make matters worse, he scheduled "another buyer" (or a friend to pose as another buyer) to look at it the same time I did. I really disliked that and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I thought it was very unprofessional of him. He had another white 65 Fury III sitting in garage too that he shouldn't have bought too...which was also for sale.

Moral of the story...don't ever go on photos alone guys...I've done it before and was sorry. I have learned to never do it again.

I don't know...maybe I'm behind the times...but for ~9 grand shouldn't I be able to buy a 65 Sport Fury w/ console shift that is pretty much all set to go? Have C-body values gone up recently? It should be a good solid #3 car for that kind of money shouldn't it? This car was much closer to a #4 than a #3.

I see this guy asking 10k for this my 65 I much nicer and much rare it is 426 4spd I'am looking to sell its between a 2 and a 3 it has lazer straight body chrome like new interior perfect except for steering wheel and I want 27,500 is that too much for a beast how many were made 100 maybe 200 I know they made .2% 4spds at 300,000 most 383 next 318 and last 426. It needs very little to be show. I have Hagerty put 38,000 return on it

I did see the car online ebay and his site. I could of swear they were looking for 14k. I looked at it and thought 14k was too much

Like I said many, many times...never ever buy a car unless you put your own eyeballs on it. There's a few friends I would trust here on FCBO to look at a car for me and giving me the straight up skinny.

I got a 65 for sale 426 car I'am asking 27k but price is negotiable and its a 4spd matching numbers same overall condition. There were maybe 100 made with my engine and trans
