Sled City makes a fiberglass hood with Hemi scoop $650 USD, it saves 110 lbs over the steel hood, shipping would be a killer though.

I've never weighed one, but based on similar car/year hoods, I seriously doubt that the '66 steel hood weighs anywhere close to 110 lbs., let alone more than that.

If you have to do it. Stick in on with velcro or double sided tape. Don't drill holes. I believe after some time you will be happy it was temporary.
