I am in the process of rebuilding the brakes on my 66 Imperial. Looking for sources for brake drums. I have searched the web and all I could find were $477 drums and that obviously wont work.
Any help would be appreciated!

Might be less expensive to do an OEM-based disc brake upgrade?

Have you checked the forums at Online Imperial Club?

I was in the same predicament but found a set of NOS 66 Imperial drums (still in the box) less than 100 miles from me, and I bought them. I know, what were the odds?? Yes, very expensive. Fast forward to now, I put maybe 200 miles on the drums (never cut them) but removed them when I sold the car (the ones I put back were original and still in spec but nowhere near as meaty as nos ones). I now have a 64 Imperial convertible and rather than use them for that I may do the disc brake conversion I have had sitting on my shelf for a couple of years. Roger at AAJ makes the kit and he's a nice fellow. AAJ BRAKES Disc Brake Conversion Kits (503) 890-1469

I just got all the parts for a disc brake swap for my 64 Imperial using the AAJ info and adaptors. In this day and age, I see no reason to run drum brakes on the front, especially when you're missing good drums!

Also, I noticed on Rockauto there are some PowerStop shoes that are 11 1/32". Meaning the drums are beefy enough to go a little more than the factory maximum diameter. Chrysler was great about over engineering their parts! That's why they last so long!
