What should I use to re-attach the chrome trim to the window? I have two products. One is 3M molding tape, but I think that will be too thick a aguge. The other product I have is Super Weatherstrip Adhesive (Permatex). Any additional recommendations? see pics

Well, Darth I did not create a lot of comments from my post, however I appreciate you reply and I think you are right and I will follow your recommendation.
Thanks
Richard

I think the factory used 1/16" window setting tape. Any automotive glass shop should have it.

I have the same problem on 1 of my cars, awaiting the correct solution (and priority).
I'm with @Sixpactogo, it seems was originally more of a tape-type thing.

But with that said, I think a glue-type solution would work.
Although I don't think weatherstrip glue you pictured is the right one, I think you need more of a silicone/sealant-type thing.

Based on the 2 products you have, I would try the molding tape first.

Thanks for the replies. I tried the Permatex this afternoon. If that doesn't work I will clean it out and try the molding tape.
Thanks

Richard
