66 Sport Fury hood latch and release?

I have a 225 slant six backed by a 3spd(three on the tree ;) )
It is pretty much stock, and original, minus the engine but it's from the same year and some other little things. I'm not worried about it being a numbers car, as long as the outside and inside lines stay the same I'm happy

My car was the economy Fury 1, radio delete, 3spd manual, x4 seat belts, floor vents.. it bare bones

The things I have done to it;
The engine blew the # 1 connector rod, ramming the piston into the head and shredding the cylinder skirt. So new engine.
I put a Sunpro Tach in on the column

switch out the radio delete plate and put the clock and stock radio in(both are not pluged in) as I what to put in a radio from Retro Sound.

It had a child seat clip in it when I got it but only x2 seats on the outter sides of the seats, so I installed a third in the middle.

I'm currently turning my /6 into a Super Six.Putting a stock Carter BBD 2bbl on it, but when the Money Fairies come I would like to put a Holley 2300 on it.

My next big project will be putting a HEI ignition in 'em

You know Commando, I was expecting that one ;)

Proably why it's in as good of shape is the fact that it has the /6.
I was thinking of puting a 4 spd with Overdrive in it that my Father-Inlaw has laying around.
Then I was thinking could I still have it as a column shift or how would that look with a bench with a floor shift?

or I could tell you guys how good the repoped hump works ;) if I go that route

I think it's incredible that you have a very cool car on your hands there. I like that it is a 3 on the tree. Very cool! Your plans for the up coming mods sound good too. Any plans on putting a set of nice rims on it? Cragar SS's would look really good on your car!!!

I had a 67 Plymouth Valiant with a 170 slant and man, I loved that car. I was young (24 years ago)and at a college party that was down a dirt road on campus and I got hammered and end up driving it down the dirt road again when leaving and ended up driving on the side of the road and not on the top of the dirt road,....and I ended up hitting a big stump. It ripped out the K member, snapped the trans off the motor, put the radiator through the fan and more AND my girlfriend hit the windshield and shattered it and got some pretty bad cuts on her face. Really bad night. The bad part is that we ended up staying at the college that night and my parents had the state police looking for us. I showed up the next day at home,..car being towed in and my Dad was really upset to say the least because we had just gotten the car painted and the engine rebuilt. We had to junk the car and I was bummed, but I enjoyed that car a lot and wish I still had it. Sorry for the long winded story man,..it was you saying you had a 225 slant brought back that memory. Not a good one, but a story I won't forget. If you have a chance, I'd like to see some pics of your car,.like inside and out and under the hood. There are some cool parts out there to dress that motor up.

That sucks about the Valiant :/ good story to tell the kids to take care of their vehicles though.

I was thinking of the Cragar SS, but I seen a Fury with Keystone Klassics and was sold on the Keystones.

I remember those days, me at 6'4" and my wife at 5'10" waking up in the front or back seat of my C body . As a teen it was easy, I'm a hundred pounds heavier now, its not that easy.................

Looks like you have all the right things going in your life............. Congratulations

or maybe this with the 4 speed:

LOL, ****! I wouldn't even know what to do with that!
That looks like fun thou :pixie:

I'm happy at the moment with the /6 it's closer to my under standing of engines... simple ;)
I may pop in a 318 at some point.... I'm just not there yet, as I want the thing to run properly and have the small body work done.
Then I'll worry about the vanity stuff :)

LOL, **** It super charged! :Groaner: Ya, ok... I've seen only a few of them and it didn't register.

Like I said smiple understanding. Suck, Crush, Spark, and Blow.

Thanks for posting the pictures. You guys make a good couple and look great in the car. The rear tail lights are different? Was that some sort of option? Never seem them like that....

Thanks, she's better looking in person ;)

The Fury I have is a Fury 1 so it's bare bones with little chrome. I know what you mean thou, there are a lot of Fury 3s still around in comparison.

I think that's why I fell in love with it.

You committed the ultimate cardinal sin around here...

LOL, Which one Commando ;) besides Greed(money) I up on them all

Putting in a the items and not keeping it bare bones? or my bad Grammar :p ?
I still have the radio delete plate, but it really rough. Clock is in there because the radio trim had an ugly aluminum plate there. I had the clock and it looks better then the plate.
Since my return from over sea I realized I've lost some hearing in my lower end and loose some tones, so that why I put in the idiot gauge(tach).

No its not Stan. Most people don't know the difference of the 1,2,3... I, II, III ......

Windows up top down applies to all makes, models and years. You lose the cool factor
