Was it not rebuild-able?? What did it need? Did you save the whole car and strip out, or just pull smalls and let go?
That is extremely cool. I luv some plain jane sleeper cars. That shifter in there with nothing else says everything.
Here's a pic of my "68 Fury III.
That car is almost as I found it with original top, paint and interior in very good shape. 80k miles and it runs great. I bought it from the original owner who kept it in the same garage it's whole life. It hadn't been run in almost 13 years. I put new shocks, brakes and tires on it. Charged up the AC and had some work done on the front end. The wheels look like they aren't original. I think they are rally wheels from "70 or "71. The car looks fantastic up close.Beautiful! Was it a skirtless car from the beginning or did you add the rear wheelwell chrome? I've been trying to find a good set of those trim pieces.
Got more pics of it?
I love those cars. I had the 67 with a 170. Do you still have the car?
Did you need special mounts to shoehorn that 383 in that? No. I wish we did. It was a ton of fun. My dad sold it july 2004. The guys that bought it put a 383 in it painted it black and sold to an oil tycoon. I would love to buy it back. Last I knew it sits in his shop unused.
