67 fury convertible production numbers

Thanks,
I found the Y-1 to be a black top.
It’s a convertible.
That’s interesting on the brakes, those are small brakes.
My 65 fury was a police car, it has 11x3 front and rear.
I got lots of great input today. I will know more if and when I get it.

What is needed is a more complete and automated listing of codes for mopar vehicles. I'm no software expert but couldn't a database be created for manual searches as well as a template - fill in your information and the details appear???

That would be awesome.
I found a site where they will do that for you, but I was trying to do it from my phone not a laptop. Couldn’t make it happen.
I still wish I could figure out how many were made just like the one I’m trying to get.

So it looks like there were 3,133 convertible sport fury’s built in 67.
Makes me wonder how many were 383 4 barrel 4 speed cars.

I don't have production figures but of the 3,133 Sport Fury convertibles built in '67 I would guess a little more than half were 383 4bbl cars, so let's say 1,800. However, of those I would bet 80% were automatics and only 20% were 4 speeds, so we are probably talking about just +/-400 cars when new. Again, I don't have any actual production figures to go on, but from my experience 4 speed C body cars were always rare so I would hazard a guess that somewhere around 400 were built. That is just my 2 cents, so to speak.

I’m not sure that any other axles were available in the 67 fury and being that this is a 383 four-speed I’m positive it would’ve been none other.

67 Sport Fury Convertable, 440, 4 speed, Dana 53

I think I read somewhere there was around 17 paint colors to choose from, if it’s 400+or- the car could be between 10 and 40, just like it.
Dana 53? I will have to look that up.

Unless and until complete factory records surface, the only honest and accurate answer is “there is no way to know.”

you can bend numbers, estimate and guesstimate all you want but it’s only one person’s attempt at throwing darts at a board.

we know, for a fact, there was at least one.

Dana 53 was a 9.25 inch rear with the 440...you can see it mentioned in the axle text below:

That’s what I was thinking, maybe the 9 1/4 is a 53 and 9 3/4 is the 60
Ah yes, I see it now. I was looking more at what he said rather than what the literature states.

They’re referring to the Dana 60 there.

They refer to both...it's easy to miss. Didn't help that I fat-fingered 9.75 vice 9.25 like I should have (I've repaired my original post...the Dana 53 is 9 1/4").

A quote from the text I was referring to (bold emphasis on the reference to the Dana 53) :

" .9 1/4" ( 9 3/4" on GTX). Sure Grip rear axle with Super Commando 440 or 426 and 4-speed manual transmission."
