No options, stripe delete, white monotone paint, high trim grade vinyl bench seat interior in red, 2.76 open axle, built Tuesday may 21st, convertible(obviously), 318, torqueflite.

Joe, what do you know abut the history of that fender tag?

I ask because it codes differently than any other '68 C body convertible or 68 Belvedere plant tag I have on file.

Matt, clean out your mailbox. ;)

I just tried Doug and it won't let me. Not sure if it's my iPad transforming into a calculator or if it's legit web page problems like it's telling me. You have my email, yes?

as far as my dad was told in about 1980 when he bought it factory optioned still other then I repaint. He had buckets and panels redone.

thanks for that...was curious mostly about stripe and color

The tag looks brand new, what did it look like before you wire weeled it?

Well it looks damn good, now we just need to figure out why they neglected to put any codes on it. Doesn't this car have buckets, console, a radio, oh I don't know, a convertible top???

Remembering that the tags were not there for our amusement, it's been my impression that these were body tags. In other words they should at least have the codes that pertained to early assembly line items like console brackets, ac, etc. I've never seen a console car that didn't have the code on the tag.

it has all those things plus power steer, and brakes, top fender signal lights...I was mainly wondering about body moulding or stripe???

Factory stripes on these cars would have been horizontal pin stripes just below the belt(just above the door handle). Your tag is very peculiar.

That figures, the first time I bother with a tag and it,s not complete...about how many rags were produced for Canada in 68 ?????or produced period

I don't think the breakdown for US, Canada and Export sales has been published but the White Book shows about 2,111 total produced.
