'68 Fury III Fast Top w/ steelies, also put in new motor mounts

Those look fanatastic! Love the dog dish and RWL's! White walls are for chicks and old dudes :icon_tongue: LOL! j/k...I dont mean to offend chicks or old dudes. Can you enlighten me to the "warnings" you mentioned in the OP? I plan on ordering a set of 15X8 with 4.5" back spacing for mine from Wheel Vintiques for the rear and running a set of vintage torque thrusts up front for that "super stock" vibe.

Love that mid-60s SS look! There have been a number of threads here and other forums where people had bad experiences with Wheel Vintiques. I remember someone here said they had a set a couple years old and they were all rusted up already, others said they were out of line, etc. My go-to mechanic, a classic car guy here in Austin (Ken Kirkby at Great Hills Automotive) said he had had several customers in years past bring in Wheel Vintiques and they were all out of line and too wobbly for him to safely mount on client cars. After trying other options I just said to hell with it and ordered them anyway, and the wheels were straighter and better made than he expected when he mounted and balanced them. So maybe they are getting better, or maybe I was just lucky and didn't get any lemons!

I want to see your car out sometime! I love the look of it. I wanted to do something like that to mine but didn't think it would work with the red. Plus I wanted to show off the rotors so I did the 20s.

I am a raised white letter fan on just about any car or truck! Looks great!!

A set of chrome moonies would look great as well but you run what looks good to you.

You could even run a good set of chrome lugs without the caps to set it off a little more. Really nice car cld. Diggin it.!

I like the caps. Gives it a completed look. Great looking ride. :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:

Thanks everyone! I am halfway there on the lugs, running chrome ones from the old mags on the passenger side and original nuts on the driver's side. I am seeing prices like $5-10/ EACH NUT for the half inch lefties at classic industries, etc. Wtf! There are some sets around $20 on eBay, may give that a try.

It would probably be alot cheaper to just swap out your wheel studs and make it simpler if someone ever tries to remove a lug nut that doesn't know anything about reverse threads on these cars.Do it once and be done with it,and you only have to do one side.
