So odd to me to think of a "mobile director" business man guy conducting business a.) in his car, and b.) in a 2-door! Will your suit-clad client want to pour himself into the back seat of a 2-door to conduct business? They were different times, I suppose...

More likely they were chauffeured in limousines.

That was my thought; that's kind of where you'd expect "car work" to get done back then. Pouring yourself into/out of a 2-door hardtop to close the deal just seems odd.

Short answer, yes!
And I thought I was picky! Actually, options-wise, I rarely am; the more manual, the better, though, as there's less to break. Just the thought of power windows in a classic, let alone power VENTS, makes me nervous LOL!

They are the best thing ever! I actually don’t even like seeing the little crank for the vent windows.

I'm with Matt on this one. Can you imagine going to order a specific car and when you are checking off the boxes, you check "yes" on power windows and a "no" on power vents? It was probably $30 bucks! That's like ordering buckets and a console with no power seats! Lunacy!

Evidently $71.75 in 1967, so in today's money about $687. Then you are stumping up $317.60 ($3,040) for the Mobile Director option.
People are strange, my grandfather refused to buy a top of the line because it has electric windows, probably cost him more to spec up the lower grade with most of the things he wanted.

I thought that I remembered her, she had a 67 convertible and a 68 hardtop for sale last year. The others are sold, but this one has dropped from $17,400 to $13,700.

The Mobile Director option was almost $600 US dollars.

I don't get the appeal, but then I don't get the appeal of vent windows in general. On my Fury they swing out to direct airflow; those that just go up and down seem pointless - like, just crack the main window a bit :realcrazy:. Wasting money and complexity on making that power strikes me as the height of excess/frivolousness.

Power vent windows swing out the same way as the ones that crank and while I’m driving by myself I can control every piece of glass that moves in the car with one finger and without taking my eyes off the road.
