68 Monaco wagon

Gotta love Facebook sometimes. Scored a nicer set and hubcaps for the wagon.
Just gotta sandblast, paint them, and get some shoes lol

So fun little update.
Decided to tackle suspension pieces.
Rear shocks done and were easy.
The front has turned into a wee bit of a problem lol.
Gonna have to a wheel change sooner than thought. Current wheels are not going back on as the tires are done IMO.
Planned on doing brake change over winter. Yeah after doing a inspection finding pads broke in half. Might as well just do it while redoing front end anyways.
So hopefully in a week or so got more updates.

So update here.
This has turning into a bit of a nightmare on my end.
Parts taking forever to arrive, getting the right stuff, parts failing before as putting car back together. Just kinda been a frustrating task.
Some good. I have 95% of everything I need.
1. Got to find the right brake pads. The ones I have gotten are to big and don't fit. Not sure if the powder coating the have was to thick or what not sure.
2. A brand new KYB shock failed as I was bolting lower control arm up. So Got to wait for a replacement.
3. Getting the proportion valve changed is a nightmare in itself. I got big hands
4. Non front end related. I locally found a third member with a sure-grip. Guy is rebuilding it and putting 3.73 gears for me.
Um all I can think about at the moment.
Hoping next update is car on ground and driving

Happy update here.
Car is on the ground and is running again! Took her for a test drive and besides a minor hiccup before leaving the driveway. She is back and going again!
Now for an alignment and some adjusting and then a new third member. She will be ready for winter storage

Well sad news. While during my last drive i had a bearing failure and well it destroyed the spindle.

So now gotta find a new one somewhere

Don't take this too personally, but I despise the trend to put giant wide wheels with low profile tires on these vintage cars. I know, I know, it's 2025, and looks triumph over common-sense.

I am not disagreeing with you here. Its not my thing at all. That is why i sold off those wheels. I bought the car with them and now i rock steelies with caps. Back to basics
