that's a lot of driving to get those pieces... I suppose it at least saved another...
 
Seriously, when I got there he had the stainless trim, grill head lights and tail lights removed. I couldn't believe how badly it was rusted. He was in the process of removing the right front fender for me. I took it, but if I'd seen it's condition prior to getting there I would've told him no to bother. It's worse than the one on my car, but mine isn't all that bad. The only thing I can figure is that the trim kept a bunch of crude behind it and that is what caused all of the rust. I was trying to arrange to get the whole car. I'm almost glad that it didn't work out.

Saving parts is exactly what I was doing. If I could have managed to get the whole car to my house I would've just to save the doors for someone else because mine is a sedan. I forgot to mention that there was a large rust hole on the underside (inside) of the trunk lid as well.
