went on day trip to 1 of the Gulf islands with a buddy to pick this up on saturday from Mayne Island.
70k mile, 383HP, buckets buddy seat, pw, 3.23 s/g and disc brakes.
off the road since March of 1987.
up until 7 yrs ago it had always been garaged but its been sitting outside for the past 7 yrs with the driver's window down.........
someone had removed the rad, fan etc to get ready to pull the motor but never finished the job - the rad and fan are in the back seat.
along with an extra set of rotors & calipers.
at this point we are going to take our time and evaluate it, then will put a posting up in the appropriate for sale forum.
hope to see if we can get it running.
1st thing was getting the driver's power window up ( needed a little help) and then washing it.

the dual snorkel and hp manifolds are spoken for, so's the sure grip but there will be other things available if anybody needs something, but larger things could be costly to ship.
i believe the black dash pad is good, i will post some interior pics later

Mayne Island is very beautiful, quite small. this harbour is surrounded by around 4 islands

I am envious of these trips you take, the car is alright, the scenery is amazing!

While zooming in to read the Richmond dealer sticker I notice what appears to be a garden hose fitting installed beside the taillight? Perhaps a former owner was a Mariner that figured his land yacht needed a ballast tank? Drains plugged, and trunk converted into hot tub? Hydroponic grow op? Let us know what you find.

Not that I am in any way in a position to buy anything more, but for a PNW car it sure looks to have very little rust in the quarters.
If its that complete and original, it seems a shame to me to part it out if you can find a buyer for it whole (after you remove the parts already mentioned). It would still roll so wouldn't be that hard to move.
But, its up to you what happens to it. I certainly have parted cars in the past I now wish I hadn't. And sometimes, selling a few parts can be more profitable than trying to sell the whole thing.

well Grant when you make it to the coast we will have to go for a drive to a couple of places i know of.....

the fitting you spotted is for a wiring connector for towing, the centre of the plastic cap has crumbled away leaving just the ring of the cap

the rear 1/4s arent too bad at all, the trunk floor isnt good, small holes on the outer edges and custy overall.
the driver side front floor is rotten, the window being down for so long certainly didnt help.
oddly enough, i havent found any holes in the roof or around the rear window.
the skirts are missing.
once my buddy has got what he wants from it he will prob sell it on.
the dash pad looks good, no cracks in the steering wheel.
theres nothing in this car for me, just the fun of getting it and seeing if we can get it running.
but we are on an island and it'll be costly for someone who doesnt have a deck truck ( or a friend with one hehe) to come get it, and i doubt anyone here will have any serious interest in it.

Good Score on that! It was sold at my Dealership at some point. I noticed it got snapped up pretty quickly.

Yes with rusty floors and trunk, it would be an ambitious project.
Looks like lots of good stuff is still present that can keep other cars rolling.

The buckets, buddy seat and related floor brackets are worth selling as cores.
Same seats as 300 that year. The plastic seat backs alone are of some value.

Yes the dashpad is good but a pain to get out. Best to pull the windshield and pull entire dash and sell as an assembly. Buyer can risk pulling the pad. If it breaks its on them.

Any Budd disc brake parts are worth something. Parts are hard to find in useable condition.
