Your point is? Its not the value its the love affair

It was a nice original car that I found in a salvage yard where it had been stored, mostly inside, for 12 years. Motor was stuck, I rebuilt it. Some minor lower 1/4 rust, some minor repairs to the interior and a new headliner... It was more of an impulse buy and I thought I would save it, just never warmed up to it. I was into it for about what it was worth finished and still needed body and paint.... I ended up trading for a 65 Coronet 440 hard top, which I sold and recouped my investment.

Most of my love affairs have tops that go down.

Maybe he assumed that because it was stuck that it wasn't rebuildable? Maybe he's leaving something out like it was stuck and the block was cracked...maybe he's just an idiot!

I'm leaning towards the latter.

all of mine do.....and i am talknig abt the cars, I'm no doubt a ragtop man

Yeah, I have sold cars I loved because I had to have a convertible, but some hardtops are a must have.......like the black 71' Monaco you passed on.
