68 Polara restore back on

Running gear delivered. Some shots of some pieces. Very shiny inner fender. Mid June scheduled to have it installed on stub, rear end, fenders, hood and paint complete. Hopefully my vinyl top gets in by then.

looking great! Brings back memories of my childhood. My mother had the same car except it had a black interior with buckets and a console. Looking forward to the finished product.

YeeHaw!!! Bet you're still grinning from ear to ear........at least I know I would be.

When it gets back in my garage, under my control, to assemble the interior is when I will be really happy.

Slow progress this summer. It was kind of put to the side as the place it is at is adding on. My wallet also needed a break. Been working through my electrical harnesses.

Going through dash components now. Ash receiver tray. Had to get new ball bearings. (11/32). I lost the two of the 4 back in my college or high school days. Cleaned it up and detailed.

Cleaning up accerator pedal. I took my perfectly straight bezel off and proceeded buff the stainless. Things were going good until the buffer caught it and threw it across the garage floor. I straightened it and added a backer to buff it. Seems to work good now. But I still have some filing and sanding work. Anyone have a spare pedal with bezel or bezel?

Thank You.
I was pretty disappointed, but after more hammering, filing, sanding, sanding, sanding, and polishing I think I have the bezel back under control.

I do have some de lamination of the rubber around the mounting bracket. It is also cracked on the hinge. I cleaned up the metal and may see if rubber cement will rebond it. If anyone has any better method please let me know. If this doesn’t work I may PM - Polara_500.
