68 stub frame

i have a 68 Newport, considering replacing it’s rusty stub frame... I know I have seen a thread on here about what year and model frames will work, but I can’t find the thread... can anyone fill me in, any leads would also be appreciated. Thank you, friends!!!

Without a parts book to check I would say 67 or 68 only Newport, NYer, or 300.

65 66 have different motor mounts then , 67 68 . but the c bodies (dodge plymouth chrysler) the all the same , i thought . but your front frame clip has vin stamped on it .

66 to 69 frames dodge, and Chrysler (not imperial) will be compatible. Plymouth uses shorter torsion bars but the frames will interchange, if you do use Plymouth then you also have to use Plymouth torsion bars. There are some 1970 exceptions but it gets complicated in that year because of the start of usage of torsion air ride frames.
I have a 1969 Chrysler 300 frame that would work, but I am in NC.

"TorsionAire" was the term for the front torsion bar suspension, starting in 1957. The '70+ models did have an upgraded road isolation program, though, which '69s did not. "Torsion Quiet" was the '70 term for this system.

I would like to know what the difference is between the chrysler frame and plymouth. I know for a fact the difference between plymouth 1967 and 1968 is nothing. I put a 1968 frame onto my 1967

I think the torsion bars are shorter o .the fury, and possibly different motor mount locations?

hi guys - i am late to this game. Will a frame from a 69 fury fit a 68 fury?
