69 Belvedere plant (Dodge/Plymouth) info needed

After compiling a '69 B body and then '69 A body spread sheets (8,000+ cars) the next logical step was to do one for 69 C bodies.

I think I've found a change in how tags were coded at the Belvedere plant about March of 1969. To confirm the change, I need more data.

I'm looking for fender tag pictures of any Dodge (VIN code D*) or Plymouth (P*) cars built at the Belvedere plant (9D) with VINS 245,xxx or higher. I'm especially interested in convertibles as well as cars with vinyl tops.

I'm open to collaborating and sharing data with interested and mutually beneficial parties.

As I ws entering the data into a spread sheet, 246177 is one of the tags that stared me down this path.

The coding from two paint codes to one paint code for vinyl top and convertible cars starts in March and, apparently around 317 to 320 for vinyl top cars.

Car 241455 with an SPD of 306 only has one paint code and a convertible top but 246177 SPD 311 has two.
Car 248398 317 SPD codes paint twice with a V1*. Car 251581 with 321 SPD codes paint once with V1*.

What was coded, when it was coded and even where it was coded on the tag changes year to year, plant to plant and even during the year.

Also...notice cars 253776 and 254004 have SPDs of 320 where car 251581 has a lower VIN but an SPD of 321.

Scheduling cars 'out of order' is fairly common at some plants and rare at others. This is my first time finding out of order scheduling at the Belvedere plant.

This also reinforces that cars were not built in VIN order. There was no logical reason to build cars in order, it's inefficient and cars were, often, not even scheduled in VIN order.

There's another coding quirk I discovered and it is demonstrated above.

With certain colors (blues and greens so far) the upper door frame paint (UDF) changes, apparently, based on the exterior color. I've not seen this occur in any A or B body. It seems to happen at Belvedere and Windsor. I do not have enough Newark cars to establish a pattern.

For example, see the tags Carsten posted above.

Car 288950 has the M4D interior, a B3 exterior and a B3 UDF paint code.
Car 293009 has the M4D interior, a B5 exterior and a B5 UDF paint code.

Typically, one would expect to see consistency of interior code and UDF paint.

Only have one '69 Fury convertible PH27F9D290030 in my mediocre collection of tags. Was a pretty stripped parts car from recollection. I just noticed no radio codes which is kinda neat. Now I have to go back and see if its "radio delete" car.

While almost every car had one, leading people to think radios were standard, radios were always optional.

Meaning, one cannot delete something that isn't standard meaning 'radio delete' is not possible. It's like saying a car is A/C delete.
