Ethanol is not good at all for the fuel system on these Vehicles period especially if it's over 10%. It eats vintage rubber hose, o-rings and seals, rusts steel like tanks and lines with the rate that it absorbs moisture and even voids warranties on aftermarket parts such as Edelbrock carburetors. It also has a lower boiling point then pure fuel. So snake oil my ***.

As far as I know, they don't advertise any snake oil to solve the ethanol issue. (Although I've never encountered any ethanol issues, and I usually buy gas from places that are $.03 a gallon cheaper with a 30% higher chance of getting shot.)

My snake oil statement was directed at pour-in lead substitutes. My suggestion would be to bank that money for the cylinder head rebuild a 50 y/o engine may/may not need regardless. If you never end up doing it, your kids can use the savings for a better nursing home.

They do sell some treatments specifically for battling the ill affects of the ethanol but I've been turned on to just using marine 2 cycle engine oil which has many benefits and at 1 oz per 5 gallons it's cheap insurance. As far as lead? I consider that a non issue.
