At $42k he is trying to recoup all or at least a big portion of his total investment IMO... don't follow values for these, but I doubt its worth half which makes his $25k opening bid way too high as well.

I would say the starting price is optimistic. Beautiful car though!

Depends on the quality of the restoration.
WHAT would you pay if magically you were allowed to travel back in time, order a brand new 1969 Fury convertible and bring it back to 2016 with you?

Beautiful car, forty two thousand for a small block C body? Wow, glad I have what I have and am prepared never to buy another

Gotta admire his dedication to building a brand new 1969 Fury Vert but he has to understand he will never recoup his costs. You do that for the sake of restoring an old girl to her (in this case better) glory. Enjoy the results and drive it dont flip it! On the other hand gonna have to sell a lot more Hellcats because the standard of restoration on my 70 just went way up....doh :eusa_wall:

You just let me know when the unwrecked one comes in out of warranty...
Non hydrolocked flood damage even better if we get it before the mold sets in...
I said I was cheap...

For me... I don't think it would be a small block I returned with... and I have affection for 318 cars also I was about 1 so that wont be the same trip for me as some of you older gentlemen. Not a Poke moment... different nostalgia is all.

The money is crazy on this, a small block car and while restored or whatever, it doesn't command these sort of prices when a Chrysler 300, a premium flagship fuselage car of the same year would have trouble getting that sort of money.

That's my favorite part being cheap and liking options... most of the top end luxury stuff drops faster than the everyman car, and later doesn't usually come back as strong... it works for me as a buyer... I no longer have the need to be a complete idiot or go race or even have the fastest car... just something I enjoy and I'm ok if no one else gets it too.

Very nice car but my OCD gets the better of me. The custom console bothers me. I don't particularly care for the looks of it and how much chopping on the wiring harness did he do to wire the stereo and gauges.

Having said that, I think 42 is simply high for a Fury III vert. If it were a Sport Fury vert with a BB he might stand a chance of getting in the ball park but not a III 318. Unfortunately I don't think the market is there yet for c-bodies to ask this kind of money. I hope it is someday so when I kick it, my wife can get a decent amount for my car but I didn't buy it for her to get rich. I bought it because I've always loved the big Mopars and mine have the 440 Super Commando was just icing on the cake.

It's not even well restored..............there are piles of flaws.........piles of things that aren't "Every part on this car has been restored or replaced to factory or better condition", god only knows how many other things are butchered on it.

sometimes the price alone is reason not to look... but when you do and are disappointed... there is a special room in hell for little flipping idiots...
