It's not even well restored..............there are piles of flaws.........piles of things that aren't "Every part on this car has been restored or replaced to factory or better condition", god only knows how many other things are butchered.

i wouldn't say butchered without inspecting the body work. the body line on the right quarter looks a little strange. from a purists standpoint there are a lot of incorrect things , some things missing and some things that "could" be considered upgrades depending on the owners tastes. probably $12-$15K tops

2 things that really stand out.. As mentioned, the center console piece. Also no black out treatment on the core support. That really bugs me.

I kinda like seeing the little 318 under there. We all love big block cars, but atleast its not another "clone", or half assed put together big block car.

you never get the cost of your labor back and about 1)3 of your parts so that would make it a 12 or 15 tho. car. a 3 tho. car with a 3 tho paint and top job. just my thoughts. i can buy a 66 chry. new yorker convert. that looks a hell of alot better than this with a 440 for 18,000. fury pics 006 (24).jpgsorry for blurry pic. need to get a better one next time i'm over bennie's. that's all he does is restore old mopars or this 66 dodge that just came back from carles for 18,000fury pics 010 (24).jpgfury pics 001 (25).jpgthat's 36 and 6 grand to get them home. what would buy.

VERY good point. An original 318 is always better then a transplant "clone". I remember when we called them unoriginal or modified. What marketing guy came up with "clone"?

Hey Zac... I have owned and loved several small blocks, I think the 318 would be just fine in a cruiser like this. It would not be the same value as a performance big block, if original... I think we could all agree there. I wouldn't want to see it "cloned" with a transplant and I don't think that should help it's value much, if at all. Without somebody's critical eye there to see what pictures don't show, this may well turn out to be a bunch of new parts on very bad body work and Maaco paint.

When I look at an EB add I seldom give time to ones like this... the zoom feature is not enabled... I never sold on EB so maybe I would screw it up too. I just figure the seller is hiding something or is too stupid for me to enjoy dealing with them. The price alone on this one has me thinking somewhere in the stupid/scumbag area already. It may not be a fair judgement, but most of us run with our first impressions, unless something causes us to reevaluate.

Now as to all those pretty red cars above... they sound like fair deals. A good personal inspection, and possibly a pro inspection before purchase could make a happy owner.

If it were a Sport Fury vert with a BB he might stand a chance of getting in the ball park but not a III 318.
I don't think any SF vert would fetch anywhere close to that, not even with a 440hp. Us forum members might say a car is worth it, but none of us would pay it, and real car collectors with the money don't bother with C-bodies too much. I watch ebay pretty heavily and I doubt I've seen more than 1 'stock' C-body/year that goes above $25k. There have been a handful of modified Cs that have done it, though.

Seller of that ebay 'vert is disillusioned to think he'd get $42k, or even the $25k opening bid. Especially with those wheelcovers and no trim on the side, the car looks very boring.

I'm OK with the console, though, gotta have tunes!
