can't do that, there is no way I can 'clear' my mind, not even for 2 minutes.....it's in overdrive all the time.
It takes practice. Deepak is a great coach. His guided meditations are just plain awesome.

I dont see Mark drinking anything stronger than Mountain Dew

yeah, you missed my night at the bar back in '99 when i drank 9-16 oz buds and had 4 screaming nazis.........what a mistake that was. Used to drink vanilla stoli or tanqueray with coke.

I am cutting the dew off at the end of the year, there is no way I am going to start wearing my belt lower!

So you've participated in it?
Well, not exactly participated but I have a ton of Deepak's stuff + other guided meditation on my iPhone. I'm not a follower of anything but I do believe in & practice meditation (not as often as I should).

Knowing what I know about you I am surprised at you. Not disappointed, just surprised. I also cant see you inebriated ...

Might as well go to church

you never will.......after that night i had to drive back to penn state in light snow, which is bad when you are driving a car with 50's on it

only been drunk twice, that was once. the other time I ended up losing my glasses for 2 months only to find out they were in the defrost opening on the dash.

never again

Sorry but I drink. I have a real bad wine habit & I got hammered drinking tequila with a couple of buddies just this past weekend.

What would an aethiest do at church?

Meditation is only about calming yourself & recharging your brain. Too bad you won't try it. Once you follow Deepaks guided instructions just a few times you can learn body awareness/control that is incredible.

Meditation is hopping in the car and driving somewhere with no particular arrival point or time.

I'm not surprised. Whatever works. For me......cranking off a few rounds does it.

Ross, what you described is why most go to Church .... Believeing an invisible man in the sky is part of it along with the fairy tales. It makes them feel better

No, it's basic, primordial fear of the unknown is what drives people to believe in god and religion. Lose your fear of the dark and you'll have no need for deities.

Guess no one has realized it yet but I think we've seen this car come thru here a few times over now. It is being flipped within an inch of its life.
