(needs converted to 134A) 132,500 miles, nice interior. Call 260-829-6305 to schedule show/drive. E/Ms will not be answered, best offer will be accepted.

looks good, sounds cheap.
Well, depending on how many rust issues it has

A little birdie has already told me about this one. It's a good looking car that deserves to keep living.

I tried calling and its at a service station. It was the owners fathers car but he was gone and I must try back Tuesday. Does anyone live anywhere close by to this car and/or have any info on it? Thanks for any help, Pete

Was it always an option for the entire production year, become an option mid-year, or become standard mid-year?

It was called a "Spring Special" package so I assume it was for a limited time but I don't know for sure.

Sounds like Matt has the scoop, try PMing him.

I do like it and was made aware of it several days ago but I didn't call on it.

The spring special package was a mid-year option to try and drum up sales, became avail in Jan or Feb of 1969. This car should be a mid-late year car even though I don't see any headrests, perhaps they were missing or the chrome was added post factory.

Nice looking car, I noticed one of the fenders has been replaced unless it's a factory screw up !!! :eek:ops:

Now where was this several weeks ago .................. :reading:

I was finally able get ahold of the seller. The car is tentatively sold for $4000 to a guy from Ohio who just finished restoring a '68 GTX. The car needs refreshening (paint, roof etc.) but runs and drives. He seemed to remember the first owner hitting a deer years ago and replacing the fender. I hope the new owner treats it with respect and restores it correctly to stock appearance. I asked him to call me if the deal falls thru or if the new owner decides to sell it some day. Depending on the circumstances I may be interested in the future. Too bad, I found a complete "Super Lite" with switch etc.........

just finished restoring a '68 GTX.
I see no good coming from this then.
It's going to end up with the wrong wheels & tires, a 3" X-crossover exhaust, and painted bumpers.

I tend to agree with you...however, leaving my name and number for "the future" has benefited me in purchasing my '70 Fury Pursuit.
