SOLD 69 woodgrain console

I'm looking for something like this for my current automatic bench seat 69 fury . Driver quality. B-body OK. Any color, I will paint it black. I have a floor shifter already so don't need shifter brackets. I don't need the rear floor brackets or wiring but will listen if you have them. I'm most concerned about the chrome condition (surprise) because I can paint everything else.

I am going to Carlisle so an exchange to prevent shipping would be great. thnx

The console body, and tops are available new in reproduction on eBay, as I'm sure you know. Most used are going to be pitted and scratched up woodgrain, and you'll still get bent over for them, unless you get lucky from someone here.

You need to shop early when it comes to consoles. They have become one of the top items that the professional parts dealers will grab up and double or triple the selling price. Last year it was hard to find a decent console for under $700. Every one of them seemed to be at either Chet's or Tony's spaces. You don't have to go very far back in time when you had your pick in the $250-$300 range.

And yes, I will lose in he bidding war with the random Europeans making the once and a lifetime parts journey or the vendors flipping to them. That's all right. Its normal for me to piece average quality things together.

Thats what my parents did when they made me.

Sometimes you can get a good deal on one that has a crack in a spot that's not obvious when it's mounted in the car. I think I got one real cheap that someone cut a big hole inside the storage bin.
