1970 Chrysler 300 on original MSO never registered. Owned since new by two Chrysler dealer collectors. 18,000 dealer driven miles. Virtually every option $59,995. PM me if interested

I just asked to join the group.

I spotted the name "Kevin Fear" and if it's the same one, he's a local guy that always has beautiful cars and he's had some 300s.

Just got accepted in that FB group. Yep, that's a local car. I've never seen it though.

If anyone needs eyes on it, I can do that. I've met the guy once, but don't know him.

Something caught my eye --- i will tell you that the car came from Pfuntner Sales and Service, on Railroad Avenue, Wellsville, New York. I recognised the dealer tag on the trunk lid.
They sold all the Chrysler brands, and Simca, and Sunbeam.
That's where I lived from 1954 until about 1980. Dad bought almost all of his cars there since 1956.
This is the remains of the dealership now. Yes, there were vehicles on both floors. The father Eugene "Pal" Pfunter had a booming business, with this lot, which was always full, and a couple acre storage lot a couple miles away, at his house.
Unfortunately, story goes, his progeny took over, and somehow neglected to pay Chrysler Corp. for a bunch of vehicles. Rumor has it that he instead bought radio stations, and a dinner boat on Keuka lake.
Chrysler came calling one day, and that was that.

WOW…. AND someone chose the right option boxes and good colors! When you look at the type of Mopar muscle from the same era you can purchase in today’s money, I would take this car all day long! Stunning example :)

A tragic, but not uncommon, story in the long history of family-owned automotive dealerships. Wine, women, song, pleasure craft, luxury real estate developments, private aircraft - I've seen it all. Only the final chapters are identical!

Yes, it is unfortunate. Pfuntner cars were predominant in the area. Since the closure, which was a long time ago, there is no other Mopar dealer in that county. The closest is ~ 30 miles away. At the time of closure, there were also Ford and GM dealerships there.
There is now only one new car dealer in the county, a branch of a larger GM dealership.
When I lived there, there were separate dealers for Cadillac/Buick; Pontiac/Oldsmobile; Chevrolet; Ford; and Chrysler Corp. All are gone, replaced by the new GM dealer, who took over the Chevrolet lot.

Beautifully restored car Will take someone with special desires to sell it for that price though

I know it seems crazy, but it's almost a shame to register it after all these years with only a MSO....

Any chance that you might get a photo of the fender tag. To be clear, I am not a buyer in this case (I sold my 1970 U-code 300 'vert 2+ years ago to @Ripinator ) but it'd be great to have more info for records.

All that and a standard 440.
As a dealer, he knew not to order the H53 A/C. Beautiful car. Has anyone gotten the fender tag?
