Not normally a fan of the Hurst thing. But man, this is the nicest (if it is as original as it bills to be) that I've seen in a while. pretty neat.

Where is this one gonna stop ?
good question. do you guys recall what the average selling price was for all of the ones we've seen in the last several months? Of course, some of those were pretty much project cars. In fact, maybe none were close to this one, if it's legit. I just didn't keep the old emails, etc.

true. I can see it fetching good money if it is documented and mostly untouched.
The tires are an important part of it, too.

I guess it can bring a price in the mid 30s

Wait a minute, what color is the engine compartment supposed to be on these?

looks like it got some coating to protect it from rusting just like Stans NYB

Like detmatt noticed the engine bay is wrong. My Hurst is an early car and like all Mopars of the era the engine bay is the same color as the body. Those seats and even the paint on the heater switch have more than 8000 miles of ride time on them in my opinion.

I would guess low thirties upper 20's on this one. That engine bay hurts it IMHO. I know it was a rust proofing measure but does not help it in the eyes of a survivor collector. Paint looks original. Makes me wonder how much of that "rust proofing" is slopped all over the underside of the car? I bet the crossmember, trans, torsion bars, everything is covered. I have never seen that stuff sprayed that heavy in the hood latch/headlight area!

I've never been more insulted in my life. Lol.
Gawd that crap was troweled on.
It looks like bedliner with driveway sealer over it and textured by a broom.
Underneath has to be downright nasty. Hope he didn't inject any of that asphalt inside he doors. Ask if the windows operate. Accckkk.

And wtf is that on the radiator support?

is there an effective way of cleaning that off?
Possible but I say no in that case. It lloks rock hard like bedliner.

And why is he being coy about the VIN?

There is some weird, weird, plumbing under that hood.

The president of the 300 club and his father used to own a couple Z-Bart Dealerships in the Motor City. Engine bay waz NOT part of the package trust me. We've known each other for 30+ yearz and we've talked on more then ah few occasions. Think about it, The way it's applied the engine would have to be out and those guyz don't do wrenching, just the squirting of that black crap

I know I had once a 70 Fury Sport Suburban which was Z-Bart. Enginebay was clean and original.

But I have seen this kind of coating before, too.
