I just tried to look up the water valve that's between the block and the heater core for my Hurst on Auto Zone web site. Nothing there. Where can I get this valve? Mine is missing all together. HELP

There are many water shut off valves out there. You just need to figure out if the valve is "open" with vacuum....or "closed" with vacuum. Once you determine that you can find an aftermarket...or other make unit that will work for you. That is of course if your not wanting to go with an original appearance unit.

If you're trying for the correct replacement 001 the $129.95 one iz what you're looking for. To my knoledge none of the 485 had autotemp. Happy Trails, Jer

Untrue, some of the 300 Hurst cars came with Autotemp. It was optional on them.

The original ones, which are the expensive ones to get anymore, last about two years and then the bakelite lower section cracks and leaks. It is nice to have an original one, but you should have some backups to keep your car running with them. A real pain, especially when you never know when they are going to give way after a couple years ........................... So those of you with the original idiot lights instead of temperature gauges in these cars need to consider investing in an add on gauge to protect your beast from suddenly overheating when they start leaking.

Yup that's one of the reasons I would not run one.
