Hey Tim, my 1969 Imperial doesn't seem to have electronic ignition so I am not sure how it looks. I am not really sure it ever went into production but if your car had it, then it must have been a part of production for at least a while. They did have electronic voltage regulators that looked just like the later ones in production. I am not informed on whether any electronic ignition was internally sourced or done in conjunction with a supplier. So I really can't answer your questions. Maybe someone else can chime in...........................
