78 New Yorker. Well known car. Sold new at Wellington Motors Guelph Ontario. Few years later Owner passed away and his widow called Ted Woods (Owner of Wellington Motors) to buy it back which he did. Ted's a big sponsor of Moparfest so it's been there many times as it was in his collection forever. 66000klms (41000 miles). I thought I was buying it in 2005 and put a deposit on it over the phone but turned out it was Ted's other white one with beige interior. We had a good laugh and I walked. I eventually did end up with it but it involved a 2 min conversation, Derby money, whiskey and a monsoon rainstorm. Absolute Dream to Drive and same condition as my 2 Door white and 4 Door Black. Coincidently the 3 have the same new Corinthian scent inside.

Another That traded for High Dollars and eventually was offered to me for peanuts. I literally looked at the ATM next to the
A&W Car Show in Cambridge Ontario when the seller gave me the Dollar figure. Many threads here over the years on the car.

Tried attaching the OLD EBAY ad for the St Regis. Basically starting bid was $17999 US. It had 8600 miles in 2005, 10698 miles Oct 31 2011. New Ebay Owner parked beside my 78 Black One in 2012 and we struck up a conversation. Economic situation changed and it eventually showed up for sale for 15k Canadian 13k, 10k then the writing was on the wall last summer . We discussed the ads numerous times. I have 15k miles on it now.

My Black 78 that I got in Texas many moons ago. Kept the Texas stickers. Pic is at one of the few car shows I put a car in as friends bugged me for years. My cruise nights mostly consist of shuttling my daughter and her friends to Highland Dance, Volleyball etc. Hit all the car shows and admire the attention and detail but usually just walk around and hit the road. Well over 20 old cars and drive em all. Some have been West Coast to East Coast and back.

I remember seeing that car at the A&W last June.

Yes the St Regis was discussed on this site when it was for sale on EBAY in the US years ago. New Canadian owner parked beside my Black one at Moparfest in 2012 and we had a good chat, then it resurfaced for sale by him in 2015 on Autotrader many times. I would've posted the links or someone else. Few threads on it when it was for sale. Think you posted the A&W pics (as I remember an Alberta poster here) and I dug deep through old cell phone pics, license plate #'s and determined it was the same car then I referred the seller to this site. I was going away on holidays so he asked me to look at it late August 2015 at the A&W Car Show. He offered me a price I couldn't refuse and bought it on the spot.

Wow Caper... you just hit the top of my "you suck" list. Which indicates great jealousy and automotive admiration. Nice cars, thanks for sharing them. Someday you could just start your own thread with those beauties if you want to share more.
