No racing at the car show itself, but I understand there's a strip nearby in the area. They canceled the Friday night drags because of rain. I was pissed.

1/8th mile tracks. Pfffffffffftttttttttttttttt. A travesty thrown at drag racing that would make me quit.

I agree, 1/8 mile and 1,000 foot racing sucks. Go 1,320 feet or go home. Obviously can't do that on a 1/8 mile track.......that's why I don't go to 1/8 mile tracks.
The only thing worse than 1/8 mile drag racing is 1/8 mile bracket racing. It makes me want to punch myself in the face when they run that bullshit in Columbus.

Drag racing is drag racing to me. And if your bucks down like me its not too fun racing heads up.We use to go all the time 15 years ago, back then if you had a 12 sec car you were the **** now everyone is in the low 11 or high 10. I'm still fine with a mid 14 sec car as long as she does big smokey burnouts i'm happy

I don't even care what they run on the track as long as they're at least as fast as they were when they left the factory.
I enjoy all kinds of 1/4 mile racing. I just won't go on Friday night when all the young kids are beating the sh*t out of their Dad's truck or mini SUV or junk Honda's with that annoying 6" exhaust tip with the 1,000 watt rap bullsh*t blasting out of it as it is leaking oil down the 1/4 mile. I like competitive racing even if it's 15 second stocker V-8's. Even the 7 or 8 second serious V-Tec race cars are entertaining.

Bob..I assume this is a specific track in Maryland?
I like to run with the street cars on Friday nights. Nothing but cool car guys of all ages at the track on Friday nights. No blasting rap bullshit in Columbus & the group is mainly self policed & respectful towards each other.
