car is stored in the garage and i continue to purchase anything nos for it.. i will be doing the car DAY 2 STYLE.. not 100% O.E correct... something a bit different from the others...i have been collecting vintage speed parts... and oddities for it.. NEED A CRAGAR 440 DISTRIBRUTOR if anyone has one.. have cal custom valve cover. hedman hedders, cragar G/T wheels, mr norms air cleaner, Sw gauges, and tach.. etc..

Thanks for posting pics and giving us some info. The original owner sounds like a strange duck. At least you have secured the rare beast and can work at it at your leisure.

I never met a previous owner, especially of a car that took an Enthusiast back in the day who wouldn't love to talk about his former car. I even visit one first owner every year at his birthday with the original car and get filled up with Barbecue Food and Drinks while he drools over the car and leaves his guests behind until his wife orders him back in.

here is a black on orange GT also..but oddly has white stripes..

So there were more than 1 of these black on orange GT 6 bbl cars made? That already restored one is very nice. Is that the reason you are going in a slightly different direction with period correct mods yet with a lot of NOS parts? What was your rationale for going this way if not? Just curious. Thanks for all the great photos. Very interesting to say the least.

mine is the only one.. the other blk/orange car is a T code GT... i figured othrs would be restored before mine..so i like day 2 stuff as much as O.E.. will do the yellow GT promo all STOCK.. except for a STROKER engine.. gotta be fast and look good..

you got to be careful i know at least 2 cars that i can think of the original owner didnt come home from nam . . . so ya it could be a touchy subject in many different ways
