Someone should save this one! What a car!

it would be quite the looker, but man what a "heavy lift" I fear.

i aint on Faceplant ... any interior pics out there on it?

Why was it parked after only 5 years and so neglected? It would be a beautiful car restored for sure!
Its beautiful now! Needs a good wash and a good set of wheels/tires, then get it running and mechanically sound.

Going into a car like this with the mindset of full blown resto is a way to either A.Go broke or B. Get discouraged and Never finish.

I'm certain even with any rust issues this car could be put back on the road and enjoyed as a Ratty C body until it gets redone.

I'm struggling with this one bad. I can only buy 1 or 2 more emergency cars...I don't know if this is one of them.

Go for it Wyatt! You won't regret it! After you see Medina finished you WILL regret it if you don't buy this one!

I mean it would be safer sitting in the building untouched than how it is currently.

B/E body guys probably dying to rip the engine and options out of it.

It does not look too far gone either.

Dilemma. I have a daughter on the way, and lots of other plans for other cars I already have so the timing really can't get worse.

Believe me, I know the struggle! If not you hopefully someone will save it and not destroy it.

Engine confirmed stuck. Underside is incredibly solid with the exception being the rear floors behind the front seat. But to me the damage isn't necessarily rust, but maybe damage from a loader lifting it from whereever it's been resting. Or a combination of the two.

You are upside down on this one the moment you load it on the trailer. Minimum of 50k to get this one done, a labor of love.

Not everything needs to be blown apart and restored. This car can be back on the road for less than 5k. Then you decide what you want to spend on next, interior or body.

Depending on degree of resto envisioned by someone, iim more in the camp it's likely $$ investment IN exceeds $$ money OUT (e.g., upon resale) on THIS one.

even with the DIY ability many of y'all have, your time isn't "free". a DIY rube like me, this one would be an economic backbreaker I fear.

Debate for another thread, but vehicle collecting generally aint the business to be in IF one wants to earn a big return. we do it, many of us, more for "love" than "money". What we get outta 'em, many times exceeds any amount of money we could get for them/put into them

@71Polara383 does have an "eye/talent" for bringing stuff back. so does @MrMoparCHP.

again my best to anyone if they take some kinda swing at it.:)

I mean I definitely understand how much it costs to restore these cars to better than new. But you can also do a real nice restoration without breaking the bank if you are constantly hounding for nice used parts.

Again, touching most cars isn't about they $$$

The car needs to be saved.

I agree, it is hard to say what the result of weeks worth of cleaning would be. Not sure it would be up to my daily driver standard.

The ones that I have restored were done to a level I could enjoy, not about resale. I got lucky with the CHP car and basically broke even. The 500 I could have easily done minimal work and enjoyed as-is. I do it because I enjoy the process and the response the finished car gets. I'd rather blow money on my cars than most any other entertainment, it is what makes me happy.

My daily driver standards are pretty low because I feel blessed even being able to drive these cars - I've only dreamed about them since I was little and then when the internet became a popular place for mopar web forums

I just know if persistent, and on the ball, you can get some seriously good deals to save on bigger expenses. Couple rusty parts cars with nice interiors. Scrounge a few yards.

Put in the footwork and you can save $ for the stuff that's unavoidable

folks like you and Alan BELONG in this hobby, brother.

Like many good things in life, or cars, or whatever, you can get lucky, or you can WORK for it. First one is a random thing, second one we can do something about on our own.

:)
